Where buyers get tripped up
A battery can still work while losing enough capacity to reduce daily mowing throughput. On an undersized mower, gradual battery degradation may show up first as longer schedules or more frequent charging rather than a sudden failure.
How to make the decision
Compare battery specification, replacement availability, warranty terms, charging time, and mower acreage rating together. In cold climates, follow the manufacturer storage guidance rather than leaving the battery exposed outdoors all winter.
