Size with margin

Do not select a mower whose maximum rating exactly equals the lawn area if the property is complex. Disconnected zones, steep sections, obstacles, and inefficient transit can reduce practical daily throughput.

AWD matters when the acre is not flat

Acreage and terrain are separate constraints. A mower with enough theoretical coverage can still be the wrong fit if slopes, ruts, roots, or soft ground exceed its traction envelope.

Navigation failures compound on larger properties

A small mapping inconvenience becomes a recurring operational problem on a large lawn. Favor navigation redundancy and strong multi-zone management when the yard is complex.
