What the score means

This is not a customer-service satisfaction score. It measures how much ownership-support information a buyer can verify publicly before purchasing. One point is awarded for each documented signal: public mower warranty terms, explicit battery terms, official mower-specific parts or consumables, an explicit repair/support path, and dealer/service or extended-warranty infrastructure.

What stands out

Several brands make the ownership path unusually easy to audit. Kress publishes separate mower, battery and spare-parts warranty periods and routes warranty repairs through authorized dealers. Segway Navimow publishes model-family warranty durations plus separate battery coverage and a formal service process. ANTHBOT publishes component-level Genie coverage and also sells batteries, charging stations and mower-specific parts directly.

Husqvarna is a useful example of why a transparency score is different from a warranty-length ranking. Its U.S. Automower support and parts infrastructure is extensive, including a dedicated support center, dealer network, spare-parts lookup and mower-specific parts catalog. We withheld one point only because we did not verify a single current U.S. battery-duration term that could be applied cleanly across the Automower models in this review.

Warranty length is not enough

A three-year mower warranty can still leave an owner exposed if the battery has shorter coverage, consumables are hard to buy, shipping is expensive, or repair requires a cross-region return. Conversely, a shorter warranty paired with easy parts access and a strong dealer network may create a more predictable ownership experience.

Battery coverage deserves its own column

Robot mower batteries are wear components with different warranty treatment across brands. Some manufacturers publish shorter battery coverage than mower coverage. Others exclude normal capacity loss or impose conditions around storage and over-discharge. Buyers should compare the battery term separately from the headline mower warranty.

Parts availability is a long-term cost signal

Blades are only the beginning. Charging stations, power supplies, wheels, cutting discs, cables, batteries, sensors and drive components determine whether a mower can be kept in service after the first few seasons. Directly listed official parts are a positive signal because buyers can see compatibility and replacement paths before a failure occurs.

Important ECOVACS caveat

ECOVACS publishes a general U.S. warranty page stating 12 months for new products, while individual GOAT product pages can publish different model-specific coverage. We therefore do not reduce the brand to one universal GOAT warranty duration. The exact product page, market and purchase channel should be checked at the time of purchase.

Brands not scored yet

Dreame and GOKO remain in the dataset but are not assigned zeroes. We did not locate enough current mower-specific warranty, battery and parts documentation in this review to make a defensible comparison. That is treated as missing evidence, not proof of weak support.

Methodology

YardVerdicts reviewed current official manufacturer warranty pages, product-support pages, parts/accessory catalogs and service resources. The index records what a buyer can verify publicly as of the observation date. We do not use Reddit complaints, retailer reviews or anecdotal repair experiences in the score because those measure a different question. Terms can change by country, model, purchase channel and registration status.
