Owners overestimate value when the mower needs frequent rescues, cannot cross between zones, leaves substantial edge work, or is constantly behind because it was sized too close to the lawn area.
How to make the decision
Estimate annual mowing hours or lawn-service spend, then compare that with the mower purchase price plus maintenance over several years. Discount any option that does not have a credible path to autonomous coverage of the whole lawn.
