RTK is efficient on open properties

When satellite visibility and reference-station placement are good, RTK can support precise virtual boundaries and systematic mowing with relatively simple maps.

LiDAR is attractive under canopy

LiDAR creates local geometry from the environment and can reduce dependence on an unobstructed satellite signal.

Hybrid systems are increasingly important

The practical winner may be a mower that combines multiple localization methods. Redundancy matters more than the marketing label on one sensor.

We give more weight to property fit than to feature count.
